Purpose

The Kanoya International Exchange Association was established on December 24th, 1996.

The purpose of the organization is to promote international exchange and cooperation by utilizing the geographical and historical merits in Kenoya city.

With the s1logan "We are the World," the goal for the association is to cultivate friendship and engage in exchange with international residents and visitors.

In addition, KIEA organizes events for the purpose of raising a new generation of globalized people and further engage in cultural exchange with locals to promote cultural development.

Main Projects

International Friendship and Exchange Project

Establish opportunities for international exchange and mutual understanding for the public and promote interest in foreign cultures.

Youth Overseas Dispatch Project

Dispatch youth from Kanoya to overseas youth corps in developing countries to develop them into richly cultured individuals.

Public Relations and News Sponsorship

Use a variety of media to supply information about the Association’s activities to a wide range of people.

Association Strengthening

Stimulate participation in the association and widen the scope of the organization.

Support of International Exchange Organizations

In order to support the promotion of the city’s international community, other civic organizations that carry out international activities will be granted subsidies.
