New Year’s Nanko International Exchange Party
Do you know what ‘Nanko’ is?
This past Friday, January 24th, the Kanoya International Exchange Association hosted a ‘New Year’s Nanko International Exchange Party’.
KIEA board members, Kanoya ALTs and NIFS* international students gathered to play South Kyushu’s traditional drinking game, ‘Nanko’. This is the first time KIEA has hosted an event like this.
In addition to this, we prepared Kimono for the female foreign attendees to try on. Prior to the party we all enjoyed a traditional Japanese dance performance, making it a night full of Japanese traditional culture. Below are some photos showing the events of the night.
We wish to express our gratitude to the teachers of the Tachibana Kimono School.
